الفلوجة والحرب العراقية - البريطانية 1941

Abstract

AbstractFallujah has always been suffering the disasters of invaders and occupants since old times to the present. The English aggression in 1941 was one of those disasters. These continuous offensive acts against this city give an impression that in Fallujah there is something that attracts the attention of its enemies and makes them angry, be it regional or national aspirations apart from the religions ones. This is the reason behind the attention given to this period which is also an important part of the contemporary Iraqi history. The study is intended to shed some light on this great event of Fallujah. To the best of the researcher's knowledge, what was written about it is very little in comparison with the importance of the events occurred to this city. In his study, the writer made use of all that was written as well as published British documents and some unpublished Iraqi documents, all of which are found preserved in Dar Al- Kutub (The Books House) and the National Library in Baghdad. Iraqi newspapers of that time as well as interviews with a number of individuals of Fallujah inhabitants who witnessed those events are also mad use of.I hope that this study will give enough information and a clear picture of those events.
