Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research aims to measuring the level of effective of decision making process at Mosul university. There are five steps for decisions making which involve data collection, alternative and implement the decisions determine, in problem solving, in addition determine the effect of different personal and employment variables such as (management experience year, management position, scientific degree) on the effective of decision making process in university. The sample consists of (100) lecturers who are randomly chosen. The researcher followed the descriptive method for its convenience, and he used questionnaires as means for data collection The data were processed by using different descriptive statistical tools, such as mathematical average, standard deviation and percentages in addition to the analysis of individual difference and regression analysis. There results were: The level of the effective of decision making process was mediums Although there are variance among these areas (selecting the best alternative, implement the decisions, problem solving were mediums, and A good in(problem supply and data collection) The analysis shown that there is a relationship between the effective of decision making process in these areas and the personal and employment variables (experience, scientific degree, management position).There According to research results many suggestions introduced the major that necessary of involvement of lecturers that have experience and position and scientific degree in the effective of Decision making process.
