Abstract

AbstractThe research aims at investigating the impact of using group investigation model on fifth – grade preparatory female students achievement in Geography and develop their geographical findout. The sample consists of 61 fifth – grad literary female students from safiya and Al-Zuhar preparatory schools for girls. The sample divided randomly into two groups. The groups were equivalent in some variables , viz.age, year , and their general mean score for the previous academic year. The experimental group includes of 31 female students. To fulfill the aim of the study , the researcher prepared two instruments. The firs was and achievement test in Geography, and the second was a geographical find out and ended on 5 th , Jan 2009. after analyzing the data statistically, the findings were: 1-there is a statistical significant difference between the mean sore of achievement for the two groups and for the benefit of the experimental groups. 2-There is a statistical significant difference between the mean score of the two groups in developing geographical find out for the benefit of the experimental group. Accordingly,the researcher set a number of recommendations and suggestions.
