Abstract

The throne chair is of the most outstanding throne samples in ancient Iraq in the Neo-Assyrian period. The Assyrian artist was very skillful in depicting a large number of throne figures on various surfaces like the wall sculptures that decorated the walls of the Assyrian palaces halls. The throne chair of king Sin-ahhi- ereba is one of the most prominent thrones with regard to its style and decoration. It follows the style of the high Assyrian thrones which are decorated with many ornamented easements of various significations. The most common among these elements are the human fingers and the upside done pine element.
