The Rhetorical Devices in the Light of Consistency in the Holy Quran

Abstract

Terminologically, consistency is the cohesion achieved by semantic devices in the first place. It is represented by the deep level of the text which presents an illustration for the cohesive devices among the structures which are seemingly inconsistent on the surface level. It has an abstractive semantic nature shown by relationships reflected by the linguistic elements of the text. This type of cohesion is what is called consistency. It is opposite to symmetry which focuses on the connectives in the form of the text.
