Abstract
The Quran readings are a vast field and an indispensible source for the linguistic studies for they opened immense aspects to study the dominant Arabic dialects before the Holy Quran was inspired. This is why this research has been chosen. The successive readers of Basra are many so I have chosen only four who are considered forerunners of this art.
