Abstract

The aim of this study was to isolate and identified Arbuscular Mycorrhiza from polluted soil. The soil was collected from place near Dora refinery , south of Baghdad city . The study was to present the ability of the isolation to extraction of Pb and Ni from polluted soil and to compared it with another isolation kindly supply from Agriculture research center . The study used Panicum miliaceum L. as a host plant .after75 days from Planting. The result showed that the isolate from polluted soil was more affected in accumulation of Pb and Ni in Panicum miliaceum. The accumulation showed increase in Pb by 98.0 ppm in vegetative part and 100.5ppm in root system .while the Ni was accumulation by 91.7ppm and 98.4ppm in vegetative and root system respectively. These results revealed that arbuscular mycorrhiza infected Panicum miliaceum could be used as phytoremediation from contaminated soil .

Abstract

Study showed structure of pecten oculi in the Kestrel Falco tinnunculus L.was Pleated type and consisted of 17 folds which were thick. While in the Collared Dove Streptopelia decaocto F. was Vaned type and consisted of 13 folds and it described thin. The illustrated histological study of pecten oculi folds in the Kestrel and the Collared Dove was composed of large number of capillaries, large blood vessels and pigment cells which were few in Kestrel compare with the Collared Dove. The bridge in the Kestrel and the Collared Dove pecten oculi was consisted of connective tissue, many pigment cells, and contains on little capillaries and it linked the membrane to the internal limiting membrane of the retina in the Kestrel. Abstract

This study aimed to study the effect of Ziziphus spina christi Aqueous cold and Alcoholic leaves and fruits extracts on the growth and activities of the following types of bacteria :( Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes ). The results appeared outweigh the alcoholic extract of leaves and fruits of Sidr that prepared by saxholate extractor by addition of ethanol 95% significant superiority as compared with aqueous extract that prepared by using distilled water as was its influence inhibitor to the growth and effectiveness of bacteria , about the treatment of in-vivo to cause injury to these types of bacteria diagnosed laboratory mice and treated with alcoholic extract of the leaves of Sidr highest concentration of inhibitor Tests showed a positive response to treatment.

Abstract

The present study was conducted to determine histopathological changes caused by chronic effect of Nitrofurantoin(NFT) in The albino mice Testes. The Study included 40 mice were divided on the five groups: the first group taken distilled water and become control group . the remaining group which are exposure with NFT drug in concentration (100-150-200-250) mg / kg, respectively, Doses were given orally for a period (month and two months). The results of histopathological changes included occurrence of congestion in the blood vessel and degeneration of spermatogonia and aggregation of spermatids in the lumen of semineferous tubules and inhibition of spermatogensis process and decrease of sperm inside the lumen of semineferous tubule as well as necrosis and atrophy within germ cell layer , this changes be greatest in groups with high concentrations (200-250) mg / kg. NFT drug have side effect on testes by inhibition the spermatogenesis process and decrease of mature sperm number and necrosis found within in germ cell layer lining the seminiferous tubules.

Abstract

The present study designed to determine the ethanolic extract of Cyperus rotundus on Liver in Albino Male Mice . In the present study 18 Male mice were used they divided into six groups ( 1st group consedered control group , 2nd group injected by 250 mg/ml from extract , 3th group injected by 300 mg/ml from extract , 4th group injected by 350 mg/ml from extract , 5th group injected by 400 mg/ml from extract and the 6th group injected by 450 mg/ml from extract ) . the expermint lasted for two days and the doses gived by intraperitonial injection . showed from the study results that ethanolic extract for Cyperus rotundus have negative effect on Liver tissue in 250 , 300 , 350 mg/ml concentrations when comparsion with control group . the results from two last groups was the same effect to the first three groups but was more negative on Liver tissue from the first three groups treated . We concluded from the present results that ethanolic extract from rhizomes of Cyperus rotundus have negative effect on liver tissue in the different concentrations .

Abstract

The present research included sampling and analysis of 41 soil samples , the samples cover various areas of Nasiriyah city (industrial,commercial,residential and agricultural ) to estimate pollution levels of lead element and determine the correlation between lead concentration and natural factors in soil which represent sedimentary organic matter content, granular gradient, clay minerals and non-clay minerals . The results of the current study showed that the average concentration of lead in the soil samples was 61.12 ppm , it was noticed an increase in the concentration of lead in environmental components in the area of this study especially in residential , industrial and commercial location and the impact of natural factors of the soil was limited and the main factors of pollution is resulting from human activities .

Abstract

This search study the effect of particle size of graphite on the mechanical and thermal properties of epoxy composites, where graphite adopted with particle sizes (45,53,75) μm, respectively, and the percentages by weight (0,1,3,5,7,9)% for each size of this three particle sizes.Mechanical properties represented by the bending (three-point bending) and through which the conclusion is bending stress and modulus of elasticity, thermal properties were either through thermal conductivity tests.The results showed that the ratio(1%) is the maximum value of bending stress at the three particle size and the (45 μm) is the maximum.Thermal conductivity result show is the maximum value at ratio (1%) of particle size(53 μm)

Abstract

In a hybrid cooling solar thermal systems , a solar collector is used to convert solar energy into heat energy in order to super heat the refrigerant leaving the compressor, and this process helps in the transformation of refrigerant state from gaseous state to the liquid state in upper two-thirds of the condenser instead of the lower two-thirds such as in the traditional air-conditioning systems and this will reduce the energy needed to run the process of cooling .In this research two systems with a capacity of 2 tons each were used, a hybrid air-conditioning system with an evacuated tubes solar collector and a traditional air-conditioning system . The refrigerant of each type was R22.The comparison was in the amount of energy and current consumption of the two systems at the same operating conditions. The energy consumed and the current of the hybrid system were less than the traditional air-conditioning system by 12% and 28.6% respectively, which means that there is a saving in the energy and current consumption as a result of the use of the solar thermal collector.

Abstract

Epithelial ovarian cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths in women. To date, an effective screening tool for ovarian cancer has not been identified Several clinical and biological factors including serum cancer antigen 125 (CA- 125) have been assessed for prognostic and predictive relevance CA-125 is an epithelial marker derived from coelomic epithelium. It is elevated in 90% of advanced ovarian cancers and in 50% of early ovarian cancers while 20% of ovarian cancers have low or no expression of CA- 125 CA-125 concentrations were measured by Mini Vidas test (VIDAS CA125 II / BIOMERIEUX / France). The median CA-125 levels were significantly higher in the sera of ovarian cancer patients than in those with benign tumors and in healthy controls. However in correlation with stages the results showed that Patients with stage II have highly significant differences in level of serum CA125 compare with stage I in and stage III. CA125 showed low sensitivity to detect stage I carcinoma of the ovary which limits its value as an initial screening tool therefore combining of CA125 with other markers might enable improved early detection of ovarian cancer as compared with use of this marker alone.

Abstract

This study was conducted to detect C.sakazakii PIF and raw milk. Two hundred samples of PIF were taken from the infected hospital infants who used this type of milk and from the local markets in addition to 16 sample of raw milk were collected. The study is the first to report the isolation of C. sakazakii and Enterobacter spp. from raw milk in Iraq. The distribution of C.sakazakii and Enterobacter spp. among the presumptive isolates using Vitek-GN2 system gave 1/16(6.25%) isolates of C.sakazakii and 4/16 (25%) isolates of Enterobacter spp. Enterobacter spp. isolates include (E.cloacae ssp. cloacae and E.cloacae ssp. dissolvens, E.hormaechei, and E.ludwigii) that isolate from raw milk Differences in between percentages of each isolate persence were non-significant (P<0.05). The results of antibioticsusceptibility were determined using Vitek-2GN system; .sakazakii isolates showed 100% resistance to cefazolin and cefoxitin, but were highly sensitive to many antibiotics includes (Imipenem, Meropenem, Amikacin, Gentamicin, Tobramycin, Ciprofloxacin, Levofloxacin, Nitrofurantion, Trimethoprim sulfamethoxazole, Ampicillin, Ampicillin sulbactam, Pipercillin Tazobactam, Ceftazidime, Ceftriaxone, Cefepime Azetreonam and augmentin ). The present study did not determine C.sakazakii in all the samples of PIF that is available in the local markets.

Abstract

Bioaccumulation of heavy metals in the terrestrial invertebrates in Al-Jadriyia district Baghdad- Iraq were investigated. Forth terrestrial invertebrates snails, slug, isopods, and diplopods , were selected for this study. The results showed that all invertebrate groups have the ability in accumulate considerable amounts of heavy metals. Higher levels of zinc and copper were observed in the isopods specimens, it's about ( 60.50±0.58 ) and ( 96.00±0.58 ) ppm respectively , while higher levels of lead were observed in the diplopods specimens ,it's about ( 23.00±1.15 ) ppm ,but the higher levels of both iron and cadmium were observed in snail specimens , it's about ( 590.00±1.15 ) and ( 9.50±1.15 ) ppm respectively .but the higher level between all heavy metals concentration in soil specimens were recorded in iron , zinc , lead, copper, and cadmium, it's about ( 8000.00±1.73 ) , ( 33.00±1.73 ) , ( 30.00±1.15 ) , ( 20.00±0.58 ) , and ( 10.00±1.73 ) ppm respectively .The correlation values show that most significant in some metals , while they show that non significant between in other metals .

Abstract

This research was carried out to determine the impact of heat shock, electric shock and seeds in soaking nitrous acid mutagen solution on three cultivars of faba beans plant (Zaina, Aguadulce and Local) at the year 2012-2013. Factorial experiment was arranged in randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replicates were used. The results showed that heat shock lead to early plants of 50% in flowering and an increase in the number of branches/plant and the number of seeds/pod compared to other treatments, whereas the seeds soaked in nitrous acid mutagen solution gave the highest plant height, leaf area index, number of pods/plant, seed weight, seed yield kg/ha, and did not differ significantly with treatment of electric shock in the protein yield(kg/ha). Zaina cultivar was superior over other cultivars in early to 50% flowering, number of branches/plant, number of pods/plant and seed weight, while gave the lowest value in plant height. Significant differences also observed for the interaction between cultivars and treatments. Zaina cultivar with heat shock treatment gave less number of days to 50% flowering, highest number of branches/plant and the number of seeds/pod, either when seeds soaked in nitrous acid mutagen solution given the highest plant height of plant, highest mean of seed weight, seed yield kg/ha and did not differ significantly with local variety in the number of pods/plant trait .

Abstract

The prolactin hormone played role in the many autoimmune disorders. To determine the importance of high levels of prolactin in triggering rheumatoid arthritis, thirty patient's women with hyperprolactinemia aged (20-45) years old have been investigated and compared with twenty five healthy individuals. All the studied groups were carried out to measure the concentration of citrulinated peptide(CCP) by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay( ELISA), antikeratin antibodies (AKA)and antinuclear antibodies(ANA) by indirect fluorescent assay IFAT. There was a significant elevation of CCP concentration compared with control groups (P< 0.05). The percentage of antikeratin antibodies and antinuclear antibodies was (20%, 10%) respectively, and there were significant differences (P< 0.05) between incidences percentage of antikeratin and antinuclear antibodies compared with control groups . This study indicated that women with rheumatoid arthritis may play a role as triggering factor of hyperprolactinemia

Abstract

The preparation and spectral characterization of complexes for Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Cd(II), Zn(II) and Hg(II) ions with new organic heterocyclic azo imidazole dye as ligand 2-[(2`-cyano phenyl) azo ]-4,5-diphenyl imidazole ) (2-CyBAI) were prepared by reacting a dizonium salt solution of 2-cyano aniline with 4,5-diphenyl imidazole in alkaline ethanolic solution .These complexes were characterized spectroscopically by infrared and electronic spectra along with elemental analysis‚ molar conductance and magnetic susceptibility measurements. The data show that the ligand behaves a bidantate and coordinates to the metal ion via nitrogen atom of azo and with imidazole N3 atom. Octahedral environment is suggested for all metal complexes.

Abstract

Chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) is a myeloproliferative disorder characterized by the presence Philadelphia chromosome (Ph) which was created by a reciprocal translocation between chromosomes 9 and 22 (t [9;22] [q34;q11]. The approval of the 2nd generation TKI ( Nilotinib) takes the treatment of CML patients into new erea with more efficiency and mild to moderate adverse effects. This study was aimed at evaluation of molecular cytogenetic response by (FISH) for Nilotinib in Iraqi patients with assessment for electrolytes disturbances of Nilotinb by measuring a panel of electrolyte (Na+, K+, Ca++, PO4--- and Mg++) , where thirty Iraqi patients with CML who have resistance or no response to Imatinib treatment, attending to Baghdad Teaching Hospital/Hematology Department, have been submitted to this study. Blood samples have been taken pre and post starting treatment with Nilotinib, FISH study was done only for CML patients, while 30 normal healthy control volunteers submitted to the same panel of electrolytes measurements (Na+, K+, Ca++, PO4--- and Mg++) in addition to pre and post treatment Nilotinib patients. The results show out of 30 patients (17) males and (13) females with male to female ratio 1.3:1, FISH results for patients (pre and post) treatment mean±SD were(58.7%±26.2 % and 45.7%±29.9%) obviously significant with good cytogenetic response in resistance CML for Imatinib. Sodium levels in mmol/L pre, post treatment and control mean±SD were (139.2±6.9 , 142.4±9.2 and 140.4±2.52) respectively, with no significant difference between each other with P value > 0.05 in all comparisons. Potassium levels mean±SD in mmol/L results for patients (pre, post) and control were (4.6±0.69, 4.3±0.68 and 4.46±0.76) respectively, with no significant difference between each other with P value > 0.05 in all comparisons. Calcium levels in mg/dL results for patients (pre, post) and control as mean±SD were (8.68 ±1.68, 8.1±1.72 and 9.12±0.38) respectively with no significant differences except between post treatment and control group with P value > 0.05 in all comparisons. Phosphate levels in mg/dL results for patients (pre, post) and control as mean±SD were (2.5±0.84, 2.95±1.04 and 3.4±0.49) respectively with significant difference with P value < 0.05 in all comparisons. Magnesium levels in mg/dL results for patients pre, post and control as mean±SD were (1.93±0.34, 2.06±0.44 and 2.1±0.34) respectively with no significant difference between each other with P value > 0.05 in all comparisons. This study sheds a light on the molecular cytogenetic response for CML patients who have already resistance to Imatinib and Nilotinib that has much more potent effect as approved by studies and this study has used FISH technique. This study emphasizes on the importance of evaluation of electrolyte panel for CML patients before starting Nilotinib study taking in to consideration if these patients are already receiving Imatinib which can also affect bone metabolism and calcium and phosphate levels.

Abstract

A new (Reversed Phase- High Performance Liquid chromatography) RP-HPLC method with Ultraviolet-Visible spectrophotometry has been optimized and validated for the simultaneous extraction and determination of antioxidants present in Iraqi calyces of Hibiscus Sabdraffia Linn. The method is based on using ultrasonic bath for extracting antioxidants. Limit of detection in µg/ml of Vitamin C, Sabdaretine, Gossypetine, Hibiscetine, Anthocyanins, Dephinidin-3-glucoside were113.8294×10-6,123.0453×10-6,70.3681×10-6,59.6730×10-6,148.1710×10-6,and125.3481×10-6 respectively. The concentration of antioxidants found in dry spacemen of calyces of Iraqi Hibiscus Sabdraffia Linn. under study: Vitamin C, Sabdaretine, Gossypetine, Hibiscetine, Anthocyanins, and Dephinidin-3-glucoside are 258.3 µg/g, 225.51 µg/g, 154.975 µg/g, 111.407 µg/g, 439.442 µg/g, and 185.729 µg/g respectively.

Abstract

Mixed ligand of Co and Ni (II) complexes were prepared from [5-(p-nitrophenyl)-4/-phenyl-1,2,4-triazole-3-dithiocarbamato hydrazide](TRZ.DTC) as primary ligand and 2,2'-bipyridyl (bipy) as a co-ligand with metal salts. These complexes were analytically and spectroscopically characterized in solid state by elemental analyses, flame atomic absorption, magnetic susceptibility and molar conductance measurements, as well as by UV–Vis and FTIR spectroscopy. Infrared, ultra violet spectra reveal a bidentate coordination of the two ligands with metal ions 1:1:1 mole ratio. Room temperature magnetic moments and solid reflectance spectra data indicate paramagnetic complexes with five-coordinate square pyramidal geometry for nickel (II) complex, while six-coordinate octahedral geometry for cobalt (II) complex in solid state. The mixed ligand and its respective complexes were screened for cytotoxicity assay on human HepG2 cell line using cis-Pt drug as a control positive following the cell culture method for 3 days after treatment with the tested compounds using eight different concentrations. The bioassay results showed good inhibition activity of these synthetic compounds especially Ni (II) complex on selected cell lines comparable with standard drug.

Abstract

Cadmium has been known to be harmful to human healthy , manily Via contaminated drinking water , food supplies , tobacco and industrial pollutant . The aim of this study was to determine the toxicity of new Cadmium (II) complex ( Bis[ 5- ( P- nitrophenyl ) – ︠ 4 – Phenyl- 1,2,4- triazole -3- dithiocarbamatohydrazide] cadmium (II) Hydra ( 0.5) and compare it with anticancer drug cyclophosphamide ( CP) in female albino mice . This complex causes to several alterations in Enzymatic activity of Glutamate Pyruvate Transaminase (GPT) and Alkaline Phosphatase (ALP ) in three organs after the treatment of mice with different doses of a new cadmium (II) complex ( 0.09 / 0.25ml , 0.18/ 0.5ml and 0.25mg /0.7 ml /30 gm of mouse ) for three days by the decreased of Glutamate Pyruvate Transaminase activity in lung , Liver and kidney , while the Alkaline Phosphatase activity was increased in kidney , lung and liver . The results were indicated that no significant differences ( P > 0.05 ) in Glutamate Pyruvate Transaminase activity between the treatment of mice with cadmium ( II ) complex and cyclophosphamide (CP) in the liver , kidney and Alkaline Phosphatase activity in the liver at each three doses .

Abstract

The subject of this research involves studying adsorption to removal herbicide Atlantis WG from aqueous solutions by bentonite clay. The equilibrium concentration have been determined spectra photometry by using UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The experimental equilibrium sorption data were analyzed by two widely, Langmuir and Freundlish isotherm models. The Langmuir model gave a better fit than Freundlich model The adsorption amount of (Atlantis WG) increased when the temperature and pH decreased. The thermodynamic parameters like ∆G, ∆H, and ∆S have been calculated from the effect of temperature on adsorption process, is exothermic. The kinetic of adsorption process was studied depending on Lagergren ,Morris − Weber and Rauschenberg equations.

Abstract

In this study, hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide (HDMAB) - bentonite was synthesized by placing alkylammonium cation onto bentonite. Adsorption of textile dye such as direct Yellow 50 on natural bentonite and HDMAB -bentonite was investigated. The effects of pH, contact time,dosage clay and temperature were investigated experimentally .The Langmuir and Freundlish isotherms equations were applied to the data and values of parameters of these isotherm equations were evaluated. The study indicated that using 0.2 g of HDMAB (hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide) lead to increase the percentage removal(R%) from 78% for pure bentonite to 99 %. The optimum pH value for the adsorption experiments was found to be pH=3 and therefore all the experiments were carried out at this pH value. The pseudo-second-order kinetic model agrees very well with the experimental results.Different thermodynamic parameters such as Gibb’s free energy, enthalpy and entropy of the on-going adsorption process have also been evaluated. The thermodynamic analyses of the dye adsorption on organoclay indicated that the system was endothermic in nature .

Abstract

A spectrophotometric method has been proposed for the determination of two drugs containing phenol group [phenylephrine hydrochloride (PHP) and salbutamol sulphate (SLB)] in pharmaceutical dosage forms. The method is based on the diazotization reaction of metoclopramide hydrochloride (MCP) and coupling of the diazotized reagent with drugs in alkaline medium to give intense orange colored product (λmax at 470 nm for each of PHP and SLB). Variable parameters such as temperature, reaction time and concentration of the reactants have been analyzed and optimized. Under the proposed optimum condition, Beer’s law was obeyed in the concentration range of 1-32 and 1-14 μg mL-1 for PHP and SLB, respectively. The limit of detection (LOD) and limit of quantification (LOQ) for each of PHP and SLB were 0.60, 0.52 μg mL-1 and 2.02, 1.72 μg mL-1, respectively. No interference was observed from common excipients present in pharmaceutical preparations. The good correlation coefficients and low relative standard deviation assert the applicability of this method. The suggested method was further applied for the determinations of drugs in commercial pharmaceutical preparations, which was compared statistically with reference methods by means of t- test and F- test and were found not to differ significantly at 95% confidence level. The procedure was characterized by its simplicity with accuracy and precision.

Abstract

A new copolymer (MFA) was prepared from condensation of melamine (M) with p- methyl – anisole (A) in the presence of condensation agent like 37% (w/v) of formaldehyde. The new copolymer was characterized by elemental, IR and HNMR spectra. The chelating ion-exchange property of this polymer was studied for methylene blue dye in aqueous solution in 100-200ppm concentrations. The adsorption study was carried out over a wide range of pH, shaking time and in media of various kinetic parameters models. Thermal parameters like enthalpy, entropy and Gibbs free energy of adsorption process of methylene blue on surface of MFA resin were determined on the basis of kinetic parameters at different temperatures. To describe the equilibrium of adsorption, the Langmuir, Freundlich and Temkin isotherms were used. The Langmuir isotherm correlation (R2=0.987) was the best fitted for experimental data with maximum adsorption capacity of 200 ppm. A higher correlation value of the kinetic's model was observed close to pseudo first order, second order and Temkin kinetic models values of correlation R2 lie in the range (0.983-0.987) in comparing to other kinetic models.

Abstract

A new method for construction ion-selective electrode (ISE) by heating reaction of methyl orange with ammonium reineckate using PVC as plasticizer for determination methyl orange and determination Amitriptyline Hydrochloried drug by formation ion-pair on electrode surface . The characteristics of the electrode and it response as following : internal solution 10-4M , pH (2.5-5) ,temperature (20-30) and response time 2 sec. Calibration response for methyl orange over the concentration range 10-3 -10-9 M with R=0.9989 , RSD%=0.1052, D.O.L=0.315X10-9 M Ere%=(-0.877- -2.76) , Rec%.=(97.230 -101.711) .

Abstract

The serum protein test includes measurement of the level of total protein(albumin, globulin). Fetuin-A is a blood protein made in liver. It can inhibit insulin receptor, enhance insulin sensitivity and make the individuals more likely to develop type 2 diabetes, then disorder in lipid profile (Total cholesterol(TC), low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-c), high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-c), Triglyceride(TG) and very low density lipoprotein cholesterol (VLDL-c) . To evaluate Fetuin-A, total protein, albumin, globulin, HbAlc and lipid profile in 200 adult and elderly Iraqi patients with type 2 Diabetes Mellitus were taken and compare them with 200 subjects as a healthy control. The laboratory analysis(for patients and control ) were performed to determine these parameters .The results show that FBG. HbA1c, Lipid profile for (patients and control) (except HDL-c) were increase with age with a significant difference (p<0.01) between patients and control in each age and with no significant difference (p>0.05) between male and female. Serum total protein, globulin, Fetuin-A, increase with age while albumin decrease with age(in patients and control).

Abstract

The division partitioning technique has been used to analyze the four electron systems into six-pairs electronic wave functions for ( for the Beryllium atom in its excited state (1s2 2s 3s ) and like ions ( B+1 ,C+2 ) using Hartree-Fock wave functions . The aim of this work is to study atomic scattering form factor f(s) for and nuclear magnetic shielding constant. The results are obtained numerically by using the computer software (Mathcad).

Abstract

Throughout this paper R represents a commutative ring with identity and all R-modules M are unitary left R-modules. In this work we introduce the notion of S-maximal submodules as a generalization of the class of maximal submodules, where a proper submodule N of an R-module M is called S-maximal, if whenever W is a semi essential submodule of M with N ⊊ W ⊆ M, implies that W = M. Various properties of an S-maximal submodule are considered, and we investigate some relationships between S-maximal submodules and some others related concepts such as almost maximal submodules and semimaximal submodules. Also, we study the behavior of S-maximal submodules in the class of multiplication modules. Farther more we give S-Jacobson radical of rings and modules. .

Abstract

This paper presents a study for the influence of magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) on the oscillating flows of fractional Burgers’ fluid. The fractional calculus approach in the constitutive relationship model is introduced and a fractional Burgers’ model is built. The exact solution of the oscillating motions of a fractional Burgers’ fluid due to cosine and sine oscillations of an infinite flat plate are established with the help of integral transforms (Fourier sine and Laplace transforms). The expressions for the velocity field and the resulting shear stress that have been obtained, presented under integral and series form in terms of the generalized Mittag-Leffler function, satisfy all imposed initial and boundary conditions. Finally, the obtained solutions are graphically analyzed for variations of interesting flow parameters. While the MATHEMATICA package is used to draw the figures velocity components in the plane.
