In this study was to investigate the effect of black seed oil on the blood level of low density lipoprotein ( LDL ) in albino male rats . This study was done for 60 days on 40 mature albino male rats , divided into two groups ( control and treated ) . Animals of both groups were fed on common rats diet for 60 days , 2% of cholesterol was added on fed of treated group. At a day 30 of experiment , the animals were given daily oral dose of 500mg/kg body weight of oil extract of Black seeds by oral lavage. The statistical analysis in treated group showed a significant increase ( P< 0.05 ) in LDL – cholesterol at days 15 and 30 and a significant decrease at 45 and 60 days of the experiment when compared with control group .

The present study included the examination of 372 blood samples from outdoor patient to private general hospitals and civil labratory in Salahuddin province. Both sexes ranged in age from 1-61 years during the period from 1 st July. 2012 to 1 st July. 2013 were examined for infection by toxocariasis using ELISA (IgG TES - ELISA). The results showed that the percentage of ELISA positive serum samples was 6.98 % and the highest number of laboratory positive results was in the age group 11-20 years (9.72%). The study showed significant differences in the relationship between age , sex , pets dogs , educational level , and location has recorded the highest percentages was recorded in the age group of 11-20 years by using T-tsest & Duncun Multiple Range in the significance level of P > 0.05 , and the results were as follows : the proportion of infection male 6.58 % less than females 8.37 % , acquisitions 6.12 % of dogs and not peting dogs 7.55 % , the highest rate of infection of 12.82 % in the non-educated , the highest infection rate of 13.55 % , 10.63 % , 9.67 % recorded in the rural areas in Baiji and saniah hand and Amerli spend in Douz , respectively .

In this work, the precursor [2-(1,5-dimethyl-3-oxo-2-phenyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrazol-4-ylimino)acetic acid] was synthesised from 4-aminoantipyrine and glyoxylic acid, this precursor has been used in the synthesis of new multidentate ligand [2-((E)-3-(2-hydroxyphenylimino)-1,5-dimethyl-2-phenyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrazol-4-ylimino)acetic acid][H2L] type (N2O2). The ligand was refluxed in ethanol with metal ions [VO(II), Mn(II), Co(II) and Ni(II)] salts to give complexes of general molecular formula:[M(H2L)2(X)(Y)].B, where: M=VO(II), X=0, Y=OSO3-2, B=2H2O; M=Mn(II),Co(II) ,X=Cl, Y=Cl, B=0; M=Ni(II), X=H2O, Y=Cl, B=Cl. These complexes were characterised by atomic absorpition(A.A), F.T-I.R., (U.V-Vis)spectroscopies (1H,13C NMR for ligand only), along with condectivity, elemental microanalysis (C.H.N), chloride content and melting point measurement. These studies revealed an octahedral geometries for VO(II), Mn(II), Co(II) and Ni(II) complexes. The ligand and its complexes exhibited biological activity against the Staphylococcus aureus (G+), E-coli (G-), Pseudomonas (G-) and Proteus (G-) except [Ni(H2L)2(H2O)Cl].Cl with Pseudomonase has no biological activity.

This study was conducted to estimate fingerprint and genetic relationship among 9 Iraqi varieties of date palm Phoenix dactylifera L. namely Asabee Aroose, Zahdi, Sukari, Saada, Ashrasy, Barben, Shetwi, Khistawi and Nhair Al Saly. 20 primers were used to detect DNA markers using Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD) technique. Analysis showed that many primers gave unique band in all samples made possible fingerprint identification of each cultivar, Ashrasy variety gave highest 6 unique polymorphic bands with primers OPA – 08, OPC – 04, OPF – 05 and OPF – 12, while Zahdy variety gave 1 unique polymorphic band (385 pb) with primer OPB – 05 .

A new ligand [N-(3-acetylphenylcarbamothioyl)-4-methoxybenzamide](MAA) was synthesized by reaction of 4-methoxybenzoylisothiocyanate with 3-aminoacetophenone,The ligand was characterized by elemental microanalysis C.H.N.S, FT-IR, UV-Vis and 1H,13C- NMR spectra, some transition metals complexes of this ligand were prepared and characterized by FT-IR, UV-Vis spectra, conductivity measurements, magnetic susceptibility and atomic absorption, From obtained results the molecular formula of all prepared complexes were [M(MAA)2(H2O)2]Cl2 (M+2 =Mn, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Cd and Hg),the proposed geometrical structure for all complexes were octahedral.

The benefits and harms of exercise are subject to differences of opinion. Precisely, much stressed exercises may be led to oxidative pressure, in addition, Smoking causes another type of oxidative pressure in human body. Stressful exercise may lead to pressure oxidation reflect its role in the deterioration of muscle strain due to increased anaerobic oxidation processes during training. Moreover, smoking is a major cause to increase anaerobic oxidation processes occurring within a living body that increases situation worse. In this paper, we took a 17 students as samples in our research, all of them are male, from Education Sports College, Universityof Diyala. They were selected at random, 7 of them are smokers, where 13 are non-smokers. Student samples had subjected to complete a training track which was ran for (1500-3000 m). we do some measurements. Such measurements included evidence of muscle fatigue (lactic acid level in the plasma)impact of smoking rate (measure hemoglobin level and blood viscosity).As results, we got a featured significance differences in muscle strain after exercises effort compared to the rest. Measurements proved that group of smoking student had higher muscular stress compared to non-smoking student. The measurement rate effective of smoking (Hb, PCV%)have shown a significance differences between smokers and non-smokers. Conclusion, the muscular stress and balance with antioxidants is defective for smokers, this imbalance is increased by subjecting to pressure training. Although, this has not been reflected on the performance of training. We expect smoker will have impact on performance on long term.

In this paper , nitrogen laser system with wavelength 0 .337μm was used to kill the Escherichia coli bacteria at pulse duration 150 μJ . samples of physiological solution containing Escherichia coli bacteria with three sizes of (0.2,0.2,0.3) cm3 was irradiated in test tubes with size 0.5 cm3 at different periods time . After wish 30 minute irradiation the results showed highest percentage bacteria killing which reached to 100%and that lead to perfect purification for water .

Reaction of 2-alkylthiazolidine-4-carboxylic acid [1] with methanol in presense drops of sulfuric acid gave the ester: methyl 2-alkylthiazolidine-4-carboxylate [2], then converted this ester to the acid hydrazide: 2-alkylthiazolidine-4 carbohydrazide [3] which was reacted with glyoxylic acid to give Schiff base: 2-[2-(2-alkylthiazolidine-4-carbonyl)hydrazono]acetic acid [4]. Schiff,s bases (4) were reacted with thioglycolic acid to give 3-(2-alkylthiazolidine-4- carboxamido)-4- oxothiazolidine-2 - carboxylic acid [5]. The spectral methods of the prepared compounds were characterized by FT.IR, 1HNMR ( just for compounds 5), and Uv-Vis, besides melting points were recorded and the purity was checked through T.L.C. technique. Antibacterial activity for some of the synthesized compounds were screened.

The present study has been carried out during the period from November 2012 to February 2013. Two methods were used for diagnosing E. histolytica. Two hundred and two stool samples were collected from children in Baquba city and examined. The overall rate of infection with E. histolytica was 50.4 %. The highest rate of infection (46.5%) was in the age group less five years while the lowest rate (3.9%) in the age group of five or more years. There was no significant difference between the infection rate among males and females (25.7% and 24.7% in males and females, respectively). The high prevalence was in people who use the river water as a source of drinking water (43.5%) while the prevalence was lower in people who use well water. The infection rate in rural areas (26.7%) was relatively higher than in the urban areas (23.7%). The parasite was cultivated in the LEM media. Three different concentrations of starch were used in the solid phase of this medium to test the role of starch in the growth of the parasite. Entamoeb histolytica was isolated from patients infected with the parasite. Growth was observed after 48-72 of incubation at 37 C. The growth increased throughout the period of the study. It has been observed that the presence of bacteria does not affect the growth, but the presence of fungi kills the amoeba. It was also observed that increasing the concentrations of starch enhanced the growth of the amoeba and may be due to the fact that starch is a good nutrient source.

In this research, some of the structural and optical properties of the films study copper oxide CuO and doped with pure nickel weighting Doping ratios (1,3,5,7) % of water copper nitrate (Cu (NO3) 2.3H2O) and nickel chloride (NiCl2) and prepared a chemical Spray Pyrolysis method on glass substrates at (623 Κ °) and a thickness amount (120 nm) have been studied. The impact of doping with nickel (Ni) on the structural and optical properties of prepared films has been studied . The results of (XRD) tests showed that all the prepared films were of a polycrystalline installation and monoclinic crystal structure with a preferable direction was (¯111) ; and that the average of crystal size rates may decrease by increasing doping rates with a little change in the values of the lattice constants and the diffraction angles. The picture atomic force microscope (AFM) showed the values of the average of the surface roughness and the square root (RMS) increase when doping for all films. Through the record of transmittance and absorbance spectral by using spectrometer (UV-VIS) to the extent of wavelengths (200-1100 nm), it has been found that the absorbance increases , while transmittance decreased by increasing doping. It has also been found that the absorption coefficient increases by doping, while the optical energy gap for allowed direct transmission decrease by increasing doping with nickel (2.8-2.6) ev.

Aspergillosis is considered one of the most common, causes of respiratory disease in pet birds. It is caused by infection with a fungus of the genus Aspergillus. The species of this organism that most frequently causes respiratory disease in pet birds is Aspergillusfumigatus.Two aqueous solutions contain 0.04% and 0.08% ivermectin which supplied commercially by VAPCO company for pharmaceutical production are used in treatment of fourty birds infected by aspergillosis orally. Results reveals that presence of significant correlation (p<0.05) in time of clearance of the lesion between the treated group by 0.08% concentration and control group which is treated by 1% clotrimazole were be 8-10 days and more 45 days respectively.Also there is significant elevation in monocyte rates result in immunepotentiation for all treated group by ivermectin share in killing the causative agents. The rate of cure was 100% in all treated birds which were treated by ivermectin but in different periods.

The prenatal diagnosis of congenital toxoplasmosis is important to prevent unnecessary termination of pregnancy. Thus, there is a need for application of laboratory test that is sensitive and specific for the diagnosis of toxoplasmosis .The objective of the present study was to check the validity of determination of serum specific IgG and IgM anti-toxoplasma antibodies in comparison to PCR method for detecting toxoplasmosis DNA in placenta samples twenty one women suffered from abortion were included in this study. Their ages ranged from 20 -35 years . Cases of abortion due to other causes were excluded . Sera and placentae were collected from all participants. Specific IgM and IgG anti- toxoplasma antibodies were determined using capture ELISA technique according to the manufacturer's instructions. Nested primer sets were used for amplifying fragments of the B1 gen. Specific IgG anti –toxoplasmosis antibodies were detected by ELISA in 17 (77.2%) women out of 21 while specific IgM anti-toxoplasmosis antibodies were detected in 8 (36.3) women out 0f the 21 examined sample . However , PCR detected toxoplasmosis DNA in 20 (95.4%) out of 21 placental samples. Nested PCR amplification of the B1 gene of T. gondii is a rapid, sensitive and specific diagnostic procedure and considered a valuable tool for the diagnosis of T. gondii infection in adults females . Detection of specific IgG and IgM anti-toxoplasma antibodies in serum of women with abortion was with higher specificity .However , their sensitivities were 85% and 40% for serum IgG and IgM respectively

The first attempt to produce nano dithiocarbamate complexes has been done by the use of graphene oxide nano particles as a base material. The ligand of the type GO-benzimidazole dithiocarbamate coordinate with metal ions {Pd(II), Co(II), Ni(II)} through two sulfur atoms (bidentate) to form nano square planer complexes of the formula [M(L)2]x. These materials have been characterized by infra red spectra (IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Atomic force microscopy (AFM).

Eight compounds of new 1,3,4-thiadiazole biologically active for the series1,4-di(5-(4-substitutedphenyldiazenyl)-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl) benzene were prepared through the reaction of terephthalic acid with thiosemicarbazide .The product was coupled with substituted benzene through a diazotization reaction. The synthesized compounds (2-9) were identified using the analytical and spectral means. The biological activity for those compounds was investigated against three types of bacteria Escherichia coli (Gram negative bacteria), Enterobacter (Gram- negative bacteria) and Staphylococusaurens (Gram-negative).

Background: Infection with Entamoeba histolytica is a major health problem in many tropical and subtropical areas of the world, especially in developing countries. The factors that control the pathogenesis of E. histolytica are not completely understood. However, key features are the ability of the organism to lyse host cells and cause tissue destruction, with induced immune responses occurring in invasive disease. Up to now, few reports about blood alterations induced by E. histolytica infection have been described. Objective: The aim of the present study was to evaluate the relationship between the infection with E. histolytica and some blood parameters Patients and methods: A total of 320 male and female patients presented with infected diarrhea to the Central Teaching Hospital for Pediatric and some Medical Centers in Baghdad city – Iraq were examined, during the period from April to October, 2014. The age of patients ranged from 1-50 years. Forty five healthy parasite-free individuals used as a control group. Stool samples were collected from patients for direct microscopic examination , then the blood parameters evaluated were (RBCs, HB, PCV, MCV, MCH, MCHC, PLT, TLC, Neutrophile, Lymphocyte and mixed cells) in the patient's blood, using Sysmex instrument. Results: In this study 60 patients out of 320 patients confirmed to be positive for E. histolytica. The results showed a significant decrease (P<0.05) in RBCs count, level of Hb, PCV, MCV and MCHC in E. histolytica infected patients in comparison to healthy control group. In addition, the total leucocyte count and differential type of neutrophil, lymphocyte and mixed cells (monocyte, eosinophile, basiophile) increased significantly (P < 0.05) in patients infected with E. histolytica in compared to healthy control. Conclusion: The present study confirmed the existence of a relationship between the infection with E. histolytica and changes in blood parameters indices involved in anaemia. This may be an evident proof that parasitic infections have an adverse effect on haemoglobin, packed cell volume, and mean cell haemoglobin concentration, and immune response.

Around (25) sewage samples were collected in different seasons: Summer (June), Autumn (October and November), Winter in (December) 2013 and (January) 2014) from Nawroz quarter – Erbil city. Calorimetric method was used to determine the phosphate concentration, using ammonium molybdate as color indicator reaction procedure. The results were read on spectrophotometer at λmax = 570 nm. The values estimated under the standard curve, the results shows a variation in the recorded values between the different seasons that goes less, within and more than the world recognized standard values.

Three hundred samples collected from different clinical sources(burns, wounds, urine,) have been isolated and identified, including 56 Isolates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and 18 Isolates of Klebsiella pneumoniae then confirmed diagnosis by using regular api20E, api-20NE and VITEK 2 system. Results of antimicrobial susceptibility showed that all isolates were resistant to Ampicillin, Amoxicillin, Cephalexin, Nitrofurans and Co-Trimoxazole with ratio 100%, while all isolates resistant imipenem with 0%. Results of determination dominant pattern of multiple resistance to antibiotics by Pseudomonas aeruginosa was AM - AMX - FT- CL - SXT- Cb -CTX-CTR-PRL-ATM –CN- AK- CIP , wheals the pattern of resistance by Klebsiella pneumoniae was Amp –AMX- SXT-FT - CL - Cb - CTX - CTR—AK-CIP- CN - ATM. The results showed that 30 isolates of the total (56) of P. aeruginosa could produce β-Lactamase with percentage (53.5%), also 14(77.7%) isolates of the total (18) of Klebsiella pneumoniae gave positive result. K. pneumoniae have ability to tolerant heavy metals like (copper, zinc, mercury, cobalt ) with 38.8%, 50%,16.6% , 38.8% respectively, while P. aeruginosa tolerant same heavy metals with percentage ( 17.8%, 41%, 16.6%, 25%) respectively. Additionally, results of plasmid profile presented that all isolates of Klebsiella pneumoniae contained tow bands of plasmid vary in size, some isolates contained the Mega Plasmid, wheals found that all isolates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa contained single plasmid and all sizes of plasmids were relatively close. Analysis of conjugation results showed 12(85.7%) transconjugant of Klebsiella pneumoniae and 25(83.3) transconjugant of Pseudomonas aeruginosa revised character β-Lactamase production. Results showed the highest percentage transfer of antibiotic resistance was to Ampicicillin, Amoxicillin and Carbencillin with 100%, while the lowest percentage of resistance was to Gentamicin by 35.7% in both Klebsiella pneumoniae and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Results showed that the highest proportion of transfer of heavy metals to zinc metal reaching to ratio 100%, whilst less transmission was mercury metal with ratio 16.6 %.
