Relationship between lipoprotein lipase gene Polymorphisms and lipid metabolism in Atherosclerosis patients in Salahiddin province

Abstract

Atherosclerosis is a major disease worldwide. And correlation between infected and hyperlipidemia, the most common risk factors. The study included )150( samples, 100 samples with atherosclerosis )55female and 45 male( and )50( of sam- ples as control )18 female and 32 male(. The result of concentration measurement for )cholesterol , triglyceride TG , HDL, LDL ,VLDL and LPL enzyme ( in patients with atherosclerosis refers to be signi cant high in mean at level of cholesterol )212.29mg/dL( compared with health group )178.3 mg/dL(. For triglyceride it was )224.62 mg/dL( in patients with athero- sclerosis compared with healty group )137.28 mg/dL(. While HDL level there are low signi cant in HDL level in patients with atherosclerosis which reached to) 38.83 mg/dL( as compared with healthy group )44.8 mg/dL( and result also show high signi cant in LDL and VLDL concentration )128.17 and 44.91¬ mg/dL( respectively ,as compared with healthy group )106.42 and 27.48 mg/dL( respectively. Very low signi cant has been recorded in LPL level in patients with atherosclerosis which reached to )30.29 U/L( as compared with its concentration level in healthy group )37.35U/L(.This study was also included to identify polymorphism in HindIII restraction site for LpL gene that responsible for pro- duction of lipoprotein lipase enzyme, which is main key in lipids metabolism. The genotyping was carried out for HindIII polymorphism and we noticed a difference in allelic repetition between the patients with atherosclerosis and healthy group and increase in some biochemical characters in the members with H+H+. Conclusion presence correlation between Ath- erosclerosis infected and hyperlipidemia , addition important role lipoprotein lipase gene Polymorphisms in development infection through effect on product enzyme.
