The Effect of Construction Industry on the Variance of Heavy Metals in the Blood of Workers in Basrah

Abstract

Abstract The study aims to show the variation of levels in traces ( Ni Mn, Pb , Fe , Cu , Cd) of construction materials of workers , blood in the west of busra . to achieve this study , dust traps have been built from the dust which comes out of the construction materials during summer and autumn seasons These two seasons reach their climax during this period in these industvies. We have put 12 of dust traps in differcnt distances (50m., 100m. , 150m., 250m.) .These distances represent the area where the workers have worked. In order to know The concerntration of these traces which are put in dust falling samples . After collection many dust samples,it has been taken from blood samples (10ml) from the warker who have been working in construction materials so as other workers who have worked out of these arcas . Also, to Show the affection of the type on the industry and the duration of work .The results have been shown that the amount of falling dust during the time of this study is (911,088grm2). And these results have been divided into (475,857grm2) and(435,231grm2) during the tow seasons: outumn and summer. The (250 m.)area has accounted the largest amount during the time of this study of" gypsium and asphalt" industries , whereas the (50 m.) location accounts the largest amount during the time of study in the stones ,breakers. After knowing the quality of the dust , it has showed that these studies traces have exceeded the environmental carteria in all the chaoser areas. The industry of gypsium and asphalt reaches it,s high concentration in companson with the stones breaker.Through the use of modern technology of person Correlation of (SPSS),the study Also has shown the length of working period and the type of material used in the industry , has played avital role in concertation of these traces in the blood of the workers who have been working in the construction materials. The gypsuim industry and the duration of working (37)years has been shown it,s high concentration in comparision with one year duration.
