Abstract

Abstract This research aims to: -1. Definition of the students' motivation to join the Department of History.2. Know the relationship between motivation and achievement among students of the Department of History.Total sample (39) Talia "and female students for the first phase, and (44) male" and female students for the second phase, and (25) male "and female students from the third stage, and (25) male" and female students from the fourth stage.The search tool was a researcher built a scale to measure the motivation to be of (20) in front of each paragraph, paragraph five alternatives. The researcher used statistical means the following: - Pearson correlation coefficient, samples t test for one sample and Cronbach's alpha coefficient. After analyzing the results statistically, "the researcher concluded that the Department of History students have high level of motivation and in the light of the results reached the researcher to some of the recommendations, including: -1. attention to the development of students' attitudes toward their specialty school.2. benefit from the motivation scale for the purpose of distribution of students, each according to his desire in different sections of the Faculty of Education.
