Abstract

The results of the field survey of four cultivars of tomato in Babil province showed the presence of Fusarium wilt disease on tomato caused by Fusarium oxysporum f.sp lycopersici (Sacc) Snyder & Hanse with disease incidence of 46 to 30%. The isolates of Penicillium corylophilum (Dierckx) with the roots of the Tomato plants in the Jablh area in Babil province . P. corylophilum fungus was used as a biocontrol agent. The results of the pathogenicity test of F. oxysporum showed that the radish seeds had a high pathogenicity, with the percentage of germination of radish seeds ranged from 4-2%. P. corylophilum was not shown in radish seeds in the test of pathogenicity, where the percentage of germination was 97% . The results of the biological control agent of P. corylophilum showed a high antagonistic abilty to pathogenic fungi with 93.05% inhibition and antagonism degree was 1. The effect of bioprotective leachate in three concentrations in the inhibition of pathogenic fungi in the PSA medium significantly compared to the control treatment. Bio-control fungus contributed to reducing the severity of pathogenic fungus at low levels compared to the single-pathogenic fungus treatment which was of 85% in the experience under lath house condition . The treatment of the fungus resulted in a significant increase in plant growth parametars compared with the treatment of pathogenic fungi alone
