Abstract

The practical applications handicaps in teachingchemistry at the Intermediate stage from theteachers view point The practical applicationsare so imperative in teaching The subject ofchemistry and it is not possible for teaching thissubject to be effective unless these applicationsare done well The aims of the article arespecified by giving questionnaire connected withthese applications and the problems which theteachers are suffering fromThe answers have revealed The handicaps asshown below1- Handicaps related to the equipment.2- Handicaps related to the teaching and thelimited time given to these applications3- Handicaps related to the great number ofstudents which makes impossible to do the jobsufficiently4-The last but the most important handicap isthe lack of adequate labThe concluding of the paper is how to combatthese handicaps focused in that is the need toimprove these applications through having adeveloped lap constructed on fully technicalbases and giving enough time to students andteachers to practice their experiments carefullyaccurately and safely .
