Headwear in the Assyrian Period

Abstract

When studying head scarves, the researcher must rely on the salient sculptured panels, which adorned the walls, halls and rooms of the Assyrian palaces in Mesopotamia. Cuneiform texts are also important source of our knowledge about head scarves. The research is divided into several topics including naming the covers and the materials used in their manufacture such as Linen and wool, and the most important metals that decorate covers like gold, etc., and the methods and ways of the most important scenes carried on the headwear similar to the flower of chamomile and lotus, also we talked about the gods .. and head scarves for kings, leaders and soldiers and also headwear for women.
