Social Intelligence and its Relationship with the Academic Adaptation among Learning Disability Students in the Light of Some Variables

Abstract

This study aimed to explore the social intelligence, the academic adaptation and the relationship between them among learning disability students in Zarqa Governorate. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used two scales: social intelligence scale and academic adaptation scale. The sample consisted of (450) male and female students chosen by the stratified random method during the academic year 2018-2019. By using means and coefficients, the results showed a moderate level of social intelligence and academic adaptation among learning disability students in Zarqa Governorate, also, there were no statistical significant differences in the social intelligence could be attributed to the social type, in favor of females. There were statistically significant differences according to the educational level, in favor of higher educational level, also, there were statistically significant positive correlation between the social intelligence and the academic adaptation. Based on the results, appropriate recommendations were made.
