Spatial Variation of Municipal Services (Water, Sewage, Municipal Waste) in Iraq 2014

Abstract

The municipal services (water, sewage, municipal waste) were studied in Iraq in 2014, and the per capita net water consumption in Iraq was 376.5 liters / day. Baghdad Governorate (Amana / suburb) ranked first (608.9 liters) ), followed by Karbala and Najaf governorates (605.6 liters / day), 563.4 liters / day respectively, Dhi Qar Governorate (212.9 liters / day), net water production (11669614 m3 / day) (283), Nineveh governorate ranked first (43) projects, followed by Diyala governorate (25) projects, Wasit governorate with (23) projects, or Muthanna governorate. The governorates of Diyala and Wasit were (0.0%), with no networks (64.1%) in the whole of Iraq. The governorate of Diyala ranked first with 99.0%, followed by the governorates of Kirkuk and Nineveh with 97.0% and 96.0% respectively. ), respectively, while Maysan governorate came in last place in terms of the percentage of those employed by the independent treatment system (11.0%). The number of municipal institutions (257) in the whole of Iraq. The proportion of the population served by the waste collection service is(62.6%), Baghdad governorate (Amana) ranked first (100.0%), followed by Basra and Maysan governorates (75.2%) and 68.3% Respectively.While Muthanna Governorate came last (37.0%) the amount of waste raised (33702 tons / day) .
