Emotion Deprivation and its Relationship with Self-Efficacy of Third Intermediate Class

Abstract

Abstract:The current study has aimed into identifying the level of emotional deprivation for the intermediate stage pupils in the city center of Thi Qar governorate, in addition to identifying the differences in the level of emotional deprivation for the intermediate stage pupils in the city center of Thi Qar governorate according to the variable of gender (male-female), identifying the level of self-efficacy for the intermediary stage pupils in the city center of Thi Qar governorate, and the differences in the level of self-efficacy for the intermediary stage in the city center of Thi Qar governorate according to the variable of gender (male-female), as well as this study has aimed into identifying the relationship between emotional deprivation and self-efficacy for the intermediary stage pupils , and identifying the differences in the level of relationship between emotional deprivation and self-efficacy for the intermediate stage pupils according to the variable of gender (male-female).The main research sample has consisted of (600) pupils have been chosen according to equal random method from (30) schools of Thi Qar governorate schools in the amount of (20) pupils from each school.In order to achieve the research aims, so the researcher has depended the scale of emotional deprivation prepared by (Al-J`affery, 2002), the researcher has verified the external validity of the instrument through introducing it for some experts including professors specialized in educational and psychological sciences, as well as he has verified of it reliability by two methods, the first one: is the re test method when the value of Pearson correlation coefficient (0,81), the other one by using alpha Cronbach equation amounting the value of reliability coefficient (0,85). The researcher has depended the scale of self-efficacy prepared by (Al-Khaldy, 2007), verifying its external validity through introducing it for some experts including professors specialized in educational and psychological sciences, , as well as he has verified of it reliability by two methods, the first one: it is the re test method when the value of Pearson correlation coefficient (0,82), the other one by using alpha Cronbach equation amounting the value of reliability coefficient (0,88). Data has been treated statistically by using alpha Cronbach equation, Pearson correlation coefficient, t test for one sample and two independent samples, t test for correlation coefficient, and z test.Then the researcher has reached several results:The pupils of intermediary stage has suffered emotional deprivation. There are statistical differences in the level of emotional deprivation for the pupils of intermediary stage according to gender (male-female) in favor of female.3. The pupils of intermediary stage have good level of self-efficacy.4. . There are statistical differences in the level of self efficacy according to gendre variable in favor of male. 5. There is positive and statistical correlation relationship between emotional deprivation and self efficacy for the pupils of intermediary stage. 6. There is statistical difference in the level of emotional deprivation and self efficacy for the pupils of intermediary stage according to gender (male-female) in favor of male.
