Abstract

The study aimed at identifying the levels of knowledge of Bloom (memory, understanding, application, analysis, composition, evaluation) in the questions of the general secondary certificate of chemistry for the third grade secondary (scientific section) for the years 2014-2017 in the Republic of Yemen. The sample of the study consisted of the questions of the general secondary certificate of chemistry (scientific section) for the years 201-2017 (118). To analyze the results, use the frequencies and percentages. The study reached a number of results from uh Maha: The questions of the general secondary certificate for chemistry were concentrated primarily in the level of memory at a rate of (60%) followed by the questions of understanding level (23%), 14%). We note a very low percentage of questions at the higher levels, where the analysis rate is 3%. The installation and evaluation questions are nonexistent, with 0% and 0%.The study recommended a number of recommendations, among which are the following: The training of the high school certificate examiner to prepare questions that measure Bloom's levels of cognitive goals, not only the questions of the secondary school certificate tests at the lower levels of the educational goals. Of other subjects in the light of Bloom's classification of cognitive objectives.
