Turkish Politics Towards Qatar 1869-1970

Abstract

We can not understand the nature of the relationship between the Ottoman Empire and the Arab Gulf countries, without understanding the basic elements that led to the emergence of that relationship. Among these elements is the migration of Arab tribes from the Arabian Peninsula and others, and their stability in the area of the Qatar Peninsula. Under the strong leadership of the Al-Thani family. These elements also include the relations that Qatar has associated with, or conflicts with external forces in the region, such as the Ottoman Empire and Britain, whose conflict over Qatar is an important chapter in Qatar's political development.
