Supplication With Good Deeds: The Prophetic Hadith of the Three men Who Entered A Hole | As A Case Study

Abstract

This research explains a hadith of the Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him) in which the news of the previous nations are objectively explained to teach the Muslim society to take the three persons in question as an example to follow. They were an example of sincerity with Allah and saving of good deeds. These three persons were travelling and entered a hole in a mountain to avoid rain and darkness, then a rock which was difficult to be removed closed the hole so that they suggested to supplicate to Allah with their good deeds in hope that Allah saves them from this inevitable death. As their deeds were good and virtuous, prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned their story to praise them and state that supplication with good deeds is the closest to be answered in hardship and all what harms man.
