Effect of Spraying Fe and Zn on N, P, and K Concentrations and Quality Charocteristics of Potato Fertilized by Organic Matters

Abstract

An experiment was conducted at aprivate field at Al – Latifiya region in a loamy Soil, at spring Season of 2012, to study the effect of spraying Fe at 100 mg.L -1 and Zn at 60 mg.L -1 and the mixture of ( Fe + Zn ) on different stages of potato growth and on quality properties of Potato produced that fertilized with organic fertilizer. Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) was used with three replicates, The results showed that the highest values obtained ( 1.03, 0.223, 1.75, 6.43 and 7.32) % of the elements N, P, K and protein and starch respectively in potato tuber spray with the ( Fe + Zn ) mixture. Interaction treatment of spraying with (Fe + Zn) at bulking stages gave the highest values too of these characteristics which were ( 1.04, 0.245, 1.92, 6.50 and 8.27) % respectively of N, P, K, protein and starch in tuber
