Useing Green Tea Extract to Improve the Performance of St.St 316L Alloy Used in Surgical Implants

Abstract

This research concentrated upon studying the effect of the plant extract of green tea on the performance of alloy steel type (316) used in surgical the human body. The test carried out by using Ringer salution under similar conditions of the human body. The in terms of temperature and function acidic pH (7.4) approximately. The rate of addition of the extract in average of 0.1ML a solution of liquid body volume of (1L), these tests conducted by potentiostatic system model (M Lab 200) Germany origin.Furthermore microscopic examination of the sample to determine the changes in the surface of the sample using an optical microscope, showed that the results of addition of the extract to the liquid body gave positive results which indicated improvement performance of the alloy inside the body.
