Abstract

The objective of the research is to measure internet addiction in relation to academic procrastination for a sample of male and female Basra University students in the second and third years. The (171) students are Educational and Psychological Sciences, Educational Counselling, Arabic Language, History , and Geography departments. The results show that:1- the sample are not internet-addict.2- They do not suffer from academic procrastination.3- There are no significant differences for internet addiction and academic procrastination relative to the variables of gender, year of study, or specialty.4- There is no significant correlation between internet addiction and academic procrastination in the studied sample.
