Abstract

This research is concerned with the study of (environmental sustainability and its representations in the design of contemporary printed advertising). It includes four chapters, the first chapter is devoted to explain the problem of the research, its importance and need, goal, limits, and identify the most important terms contained in it. The research problem tackled the issue of environmental sustainability and its representations in the design of contemporary printed advertisements, through the study of printed advertisements related to the environment, specifically those that call for the need to pay attention to the environment, and seek to create a vibrant urban environment fit for future generations, because the contemporary printed advertising is the basis for targeted success to any existing ad campaign. Hence the question marks arose in relation to several questions, including: - Does environmental sustainability have an impact on the design of contemporary printed advertising? - How has the contemporary designer to represent the concept of environmental sustainability in his advertising designs? One of the most important results of this research is that thecontemporary printed environmental sustainability designs have contributed to the greatest possible variation in terms of formulation, implementation and output, suggesting a relational basis between design and the environment, which represented the most prominent features of contemporary design. Among the conclusions reached by the two researchers is thatthe emergence of printed environmental sustainability designs on the contemporary art scene was one of the results of scientific and technological advances that encouraged contemporary designers to express artistic techniques in different ways.
