Magnetic Reduced Graphene Oxide- 5-(3,4,5 trimethoxybenzyl) pyrimidine- 2,4-yl(MRGO- Ar) for the removal of Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) ions from aqueous solution: Synthesis and Adsorption


For developing high performance of graphene-based nanocomposites,dispersibility of graphene sheets in matrices and interfacial interaction arechallenging due to the strong tendency of agglomeration and surface inertiaof graphene. Here we report an efficient way to functionalize graphenenanosheets with 5-(3,4,5 trimethoxybenzyl)pyrimidine- 2,4-yl groups on theirsurfaces and magnetic nanocomposite iron II /III reduced geaphenen oxide –5-(3,4,5 trimethoxybenzyl)pyrimidine- 2,4-yl(MRG0-Ar) in this study summarizesthe application of (RGO) and its composites as a superior adsorbent forthe removal of heavy metal ions(Co(II), Ni(II),Cu(II)) The structures of thiscompound are confirmed by using X-Ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy(SEM), Atomic Force Micro-scopy(AFM) and TGA,DCS
