Evaluating the qualitative characteristics of groundwater and its suitability for human use in the Kirkuk district

Abstract

This study was conducted in Kirkuk district to determine the suitability of groundwater for human use. 147 wells were selected and qualitative tests were carried out in the laboratories of the Groundwater Department in Kirkuk and the identification of indicators for evaluation. The results showed that the concentrations are within the permissible proportions while other properties exceed the permissible proportions
