The present research study aims to achieve the principle of sustainable development in a society and not as defined by the community in the broadest way. The curricula that is developed in the past periods does not take into account such a principle, and this is what the research study seeks to determine; the concepts of sustainable. To achieve the objectives of the study , the researchers follow a descriptive approach in analyzing the content of the social textbooks for the elementary stage to be the study sample ; grade 4, grade 5 and grade 6 according to the approved criterion (principle of sustainable development and its fields) in analyzing the content . The results are consistent with the analysis of the same books for the second time after fourteen days of the first procedure. The degree of congruence is significant, 93%, in the results of the first analysis and the second analysis. This is a good and reliable percentage in terms of acceptance. After arranging, categorizing and processing the data statistically, the researchers reach the following points:The sample does not mention the term sustainable development directly, although its themes are rich in the dimensions of this principle. The dimensions of the topics of these books are included by (5.9%); 53 concepts are revealed, but indirectly related to the relationship of knowledge with the principle of development in three matrices linked to the dimensions of the principle of sustainable social, economic and environmental development. The fifth grade book contains 23 indirect concepts by 8.6% of the concepts of the book, while the fourth book contains 20 concepts of 5.3%, while the sixth grade book includes 10 concepts; 3.7%.In light of the findings of the study, the researchers recommend:1.
