Psychological security and its relationship with academic achievement for preparatory female students in Nineveh

Abstract

The research aims at knowing the level of psychological security for preparatory female students, level of academic achievement for preparatory female students, and the relationship between psychological security and academic achievement motivation, to achieve this aim, the researcher has applied the two research tools on the research sample (200) female students represented with feeling scale, not feeling with psychological security for Maslu appended by (Al-Badrani,2004) and academic achievement scale used by (Al-Obaiedy, 1990), and after checking the reality of the two scales (validity and reliability). To process the data, the researcher depends on SPSS and the results showed no beneficial of the sample individuals with psychological security, beneficial of the sample individuals with medium level of academic achievement, and there is a positive relationship between psychological security and academic achievement motivation, in the light of these results, the researcher has submitted a number of recommendations: the necessity of media in treating psychological problems and having programs about psychological security.
