Palestinian refugees and their economic role in Jordan 1948-1967


This study aims to highlight the economic activity of Palestinian refugees in Jordan during the period 1948-1967, and their impact on the economic situation in Jordan, as well as the role played by Palestinian refugees in the economic field and the activity witnessed by various economic sectors. In Jordan, the participation of Palestinian refugees in various economic sectors in Jordan has had a significant impact in supporting the Jordanian economy, as well as increasing its activity, and Palestinian refugees have contributed to the introduction of some agricultural crops that Jordan did not know before, and contributed to increasing production. The annexation of the West Bank in 1950 has affected the expansion of agricultural areas and the increase in the amount of production, which helped to support the Jordanian economy.
