Studying The Relationship between Endometrial thickness and Poly Cystic Ovary disease in women and their effect on number of biochemical and physiological Parameters

Abstract

ABSTRACT Background: PCOS is due to a combination of genetic and environmental factors. Risk factors include obesity, not enough physical exercise, and a family history of someone with the condition. Diagnosis is based on two of the following three findings: no ovulation, high androgen levels, and ovarian cysts. The aim of this study existence of relationship between Endometrial thickness and(P.C.O) for patients Material and methods : This study included ( 100 ) samples of women in gynecological department (Tikrit teaching hospital). (20) blood samples pulled from healthy women as Control sample. The samples were divided into three groups; the first group: -(40) (women with Poly Cystic Ovary) the second group: -(40) (women with Endometrial thickness). The third group was the healthy women(control). The study has carried out from (December 2017) to (May 2018). The Result : The results of the study indicated a significant decrease in the LH,FSH of Endometrial thickness and significant increase in the LH,FSH of Poly Cystic Ovary at level (P <0.005), While there is significant decrease in the Progesterone hormone at level (P <0.005)in both (Poly Cystic Ovary and Endometrial thickness) when compared to the healthy group, the results of the study indicated significant increase in the Estrogens at level (P <0.005) of Endometrial thickness when compared to the healthy group. And the results showed a rise in the concentration level of Cholesterol, Triglyceride, of Poly Cystic Ovary at level (P <0.005)and significant decrease in the HDL when compared to the healthy group , Conclusion in this study there are significant decrease in the LH,FSH of Endometrial thickness and significant increase in the LH,FSH of Poly Cystic Ovary While there is significant decrease in the Progesterone hormone when compared to the healthy group and significant increase in the Estrogens of Endometrial thickness when compared to the healthy group , While there are a rise in the concentration level of Cholesterol, Triglyceride, of Poly Cystic Ovary and significant decrease in the HDL when compared to the healthy group.
