Effect of film thickness on Structural، Optical Properties of (ZnO:Al) thin films prepared by Sol – Gel method

Abstract

Zincoxide (ZnO) thin films doped with Aluminum (Al)، deposited on glass substrates have been prepared by Sol – Gel method. The effect of thicknees on the structural، optical properties of the prepared films were studied. X-ray diffraction(XRD) results showed that all the films structures with preferred orientation (002). (FE-SEM) results exhibited that all prepared films in the range of nanostructure and the average grain size increased with increasing the thickness. The transmittance and absorbance spectra measured with the range (300-900 nm). The results showed that the transmittance and optical energy gap decreased with increasing the films thickness، with allowed direct electronic transition
