Jahamiyyah its roots and origins in - AL AL-Shahrastanys Book (The Sects and the Groups)

Abstract

The emergence of Jahamiyyah sect in the Umayyad period was the inevitable result of the policy followed by the Umayyad Caliphs, which deliberately to distort the image of Islam, and its beliefs, and transmit the exotic ideas or those that invite to the full submission to authority under the pretext that a man compelled to his actions goodness and evil embraced the principle of compulsory that principle abnormal the spirit of Islam and lofty goals promoted in the human soul and the principle of the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice. In spite of the adoption of the Umayyad power to the principle of compulsory have gone out of the control of the Umayyad governor and rulers , a number of those who say that these doctrines stray including Jahm bin Safwan, which showed his innovation and went to the Umayyad governor Nasr Bin Sayyar in the city of Merow, But he quickly killed there in the last era of the Umayyad. According to history books and articlesThis religious sect known as the Jahamiyyah proportion to the first man who shows it is heresy Jahm bin Safwan, the most important belief among Jahamiyyah is the negation of the act altogether for a person and add it to the Lord Almighty and denied qualities. Some historians called the Jahamiyyah as (moatla, but the large number of falsifying of the facts and bias by authors in favor of the their doctrines were different views in the origin of Jahamiyyah sect and its roots and the reasons for the killing of Jahm bin Safwan by the Umayyad. Mohammed bin Abdul Karim al-Shahristani (d: 548 AH) is one of the most famous authors who have written in the difference and sects and to show the truth of this sect we checked in the roots and origins of it in our research (Jahamiyyah roots and origins in the book of al-melal wa al-nehal of Shahristani (d. 548 AH). The researcher used the method of analysis texts and compare them to see the reality of Jahamiyyah and its founder Jahm bin Safwan and the source of his ideas and the emergence of Jahamiyyah sect and activity of its followed in lost government Umayyad. Historians have differed as to the origin of this sect or its presence in the original and specific ideas. Some of them retained or invoiced to fad Jahm bin Safwan himself and that he was originating and spiritual father to them, and some of them retained or invoiced to the students of the Jews, and another opinion says that it is due to Mu'tazila, and another says that he were not band it is simply a corrupt shown by Ray Jahm bin Safwan did not have to follow or supporters ,These contradictions and differences in the origin of sects in Islam that emerged due to the loss of a lot of the facts because of the lack of neutrality in this kind of writing, artisanal and transport without knowing, and the intervention of politics and successive governments in the distortion of the beliefs doctrines that violate them.
