DESIGN A LIGHTWEIGHT AUTHENTICATION SCHEME FOR WBAN IN HEALTHCARE SYSTEMS

Abstract

The widespread and attractive use of smart devices in recent years has made it possible to use them in many aspects of human life such as health care. Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN) is a network made up of small sensors that collect vital signals from the human body to the personal device that could be a mobile phone used in health care systems. WBAN considers can an integrated network with mobile phone to give health services to the patients. This type of network is requiring building strong security scheme to resist various malicious attacks. In this paper, we focus to build strong and lightweight authentication scheme and depends on mobile phone to deal and follow the patients' cases. The proposed scheme resists malicious attacks such as Man-In-The-Middle (MITM), replay, and Denial of service (DoS) attacks. Our work also supports many features like mutual authentication, key management, anonymity, mobile health care. Also, the cost of the proposed scheme is an efficient in terms of computation and communication. In addition, the formal analysis using AVISPA tool proven the security of our scheme.
