The Arab Spring and the Future: The Ruler's Relationship with the Ruled

Abstract

Abstract: There are three main concerns that have crept into the political front or found their way to it, in conjunction with the spring of freedom and dignity that has descended on the Arab world. Some parties and groups have raised concerns about religious forces, some of them for ideological considerations, the other religious or sectarian, and three for political or social reasons and so on, but this concern was not the only obsession with these forces that remained fearful, hesitant, or even suspicious of change because of it. Rather, fear of chaos was parallel to fear of Islamic forces, especially after the experience of "creative chaos" that struck Afghanistan and then Iraq, after their occupation in 2001 and 2003, Respectively.
