Obstacles to developing creative thinking skills among middle school students from the viewpoint of Arabic language teachers

Abstract

AbstractThe aim of this research is to identify the obstacles of developing creative thinking skills among middle school students from the point of view of Arabic language teachers.The researchers followed the descriptive approach (questionnaire) to identify the obstacles to the development of creative thinking skills among students of the preparatory stage from the point of view of teachers of Arabic language .The questionnaire consists of (60) items revolving around a set of obstacles, namely:1.Obstacles related to the student (16) paragraphs.2.Obstacles related to the teacher (15) paragraphs.3.Obstacles related to the curriculum (15 items).4. Constraints related to the school environment (14 items).The researchers based on the tripartite scale to answer the questionnaire paragraphs (a big reason, medium reason, small reason) by (30) teachers and (30) schools, and the sample was chosen intentionally in the second semester of the academic year (2018/2019(The study seeks to answer the following questions:1.What are the obstacles to the development of creative thinking skills of middle school students in the city of Muqdadiya (Center) associated with the student from the perspective of teachers of Arabic language and its teachers?2.What are the obstacles to the development of creative thinking skills of middle school students in the schools of Muqdadiya (Center) associated with the teacher from the perspective of teachers of Arabic language and its teachers?What are the obstacles to developing the creative thinking skills of middle school students in the schools of Al-Muqdadiya city (Center) related to the curriculum from the point of view of Arabic language teachers?4. What are the obstacles to developing the creative thinking skills of middle school students in Al-Muqdadiya schools (center) related to the school environment from the point of view of Arabic language teachers?The researchers distributed the questionnaire to students in the second semester of the academic year (2018/2019). The researchers used the following statistical methods: (arithmetic mean, standard deviation, Alfa Kronbach).After analyzing the results and treating them statistically, the research reached the following:1.Students lose their self-confidence and rely on themselves to solve their educational problems and difficulties.2.Neglecting students' thinking and relying on memorizing and recalling information.3.The tendency of teachers to use traditional teaching methods such as (lecture method).4.Failure to provide a suitable school environment for students.The researchers recommended a number of recommendations, including:•The need to adopt creative thinking skills in the educational process in the classroom.The researchers suggested a number of proposals, including:•Conduct a similar study for this study at the primary and intermediate levels
