EFFECT OF PARTIAL REPLACEMENT OF SOME AROMATIC OILS MIXTURE TO CORN OIL IN DIETS ON PRODUCTIVE PERFORMANCE AND SOME PHYSIOLOGICAL TRAITS FOR BROILER CHICKEN

Abstract

This study was conducted in poultry Farm /Animal Production Department /College of Agriculture, University of Baghdad from 1/10/2018 to 11/11/2018 for 6wecks (42 days) to demonstrated the effect of partial replacement for mixture of some essential oils with yellow corn oil in broiler diets on production. A total of 375sas unsexed Ross 308 one day old used in this experiment , birds were distributed Randomly on five treatments with three replicates per treatment (25chicks/replicate).The treatments were as in follows: Treatment 1 (T1) Control group without any supplement of essential oil mixture and T2,T3,T4 T5 adding essential oil mixture included anise oil, cumin oil, parsley oil ,black seed oil and grape seed oil at levels 0.25,0.50,0.75 and 1% respectively instead of yellows corn oil The results showed a significant increase (P<0.05) for essential oil mixture at levels 0.25 and 1%. (T2 and T5) in body weight and weight gain at 42 day of age compared with control group TreatnentT5 1%. essential oil mixture showed highly significant in feed consumption and improved feed conversion ratio.
