Abstract

Live Broadcasting and its Role in Promoting Distance Learning, A Survey Study for Alexandria University Students, Research, University of Baghdad, University of Media Department of Journalism, 2018.The objectives of this research revolve around knowing the extent of the need for direct broadcasting to support the scientific content and classification of the scientific and applied aspects in which direct broadcasting can provide a real service in addition to highlighting the mechanisms of employing direct broadcasting in support of the scientific content, as well as its types and finally diagnosing the obstacles that prevent expansion The scope of using direct broadcasting technologies in colleges and universities.This research falls within the field studies of the communication medium and its impact, especially the modern multi-use communication means. It is classified within descriptive and analytical research and uses the survey method to extract field indicators.The research reached a number of conclusions, the most important of which is that direct broadcast lectures provide scientific content at highly interactive levels, which maximizes interest and achieves the desired scientific goals. Through direct broadcast lectures, it can reduce time, effort, and cost in communicating with universities and researchers outside the country and from various scientific disciplines as the researcher concluded That the respondents are inclined to direct broadcast technology in the lectures, given the positive brainstorming it provides due to breaking the monotony of traditional lectures, meeting new people and a new offering.
