The contextual significance of the maqam phenomenon "as a model for submission and delay"

Abstract

The present paper aims to highlight the main role of the maqam in revealing the purposes of the Qur’an expression, especially the topic of introduction and delay, whether on the grammatical level or the semantic “lexical” level, and the extent to which this relates to the characteristics of the expression in a linear link, especially since the term is one of the linguistic elements in the old, the modern, and in the past. It was said: “Every speech has a place” and “taking into account the needs of the situation.” Arab scholars, grammarians, rhetoricians, jurists and fundamentalists, have paid great attention to the term and its connotations.
