Structural and Optical Properties of Eosin B Dye Doped PVP Films

Abstract

In this study, the structural (XRD, FTIR and Optical Microscopy) and optical properties of Eosin B dye doped with polymer PVP films in ethanol have studied. The volumes of dye solution were (5, 10, 15, 20, and 25) ml doped (0.5g) in 10ml ethanol. XRD pattern for films has amorphous structure with some peaks of eosin B appeared in it. All optical parameter were accounted (absorption, transmission, reflection spectra, refraction coefficient and the optical absorption coefficient). The results reveal that Eosin B can be a promising material for optical limiting applications.ة
