Abstract

This research is concerned with studying the thrill of hunting in the poetry of Abu Nawas, as hunting is a social phenomenon that descended into the Abbasid era from the ages that preceded it and was not limited to the amusement of the princes and those who took them as a field for their enjoyment and sport, but remained in its utilitarian side a profession for getting living by some of the needy.This broad activity, as a sport practiced for fun, entertainment and hobby, had a passion for successors between the Abbasid and the great people and the acquisition of its prejudices and prejudices, and its effects were evident in the Abbasid community at that time, and the people mimicked the kings and masters of all classes, civilized entertainment in a way that is more appropriate to the requirements of the people of the luxurious community and its extension.
