Presidential Changes in The White House and their Impacts on Signing the Evacuation Convention of the American Forces from Dominican 1921-1924

Abstract

Undoubtedly Dominican Republic has a strategic geographical site which is considered important in the eye of the United States of America and the plans on the western part (Latin America). The state economic situation is another attractive factor according to the American policy. Thus it is believed that USA endeavored to have military control and dominance on the country starting with the economic dominance since the mid of the 19th century through holding bilateral agreements before the military control in 1916. This occupation had enabled USA to form military government managing Republic of Dominican for eight years before the occurrence of some changes and conditions in USA presidency that resulted in changing the military occupation with an economic dominance indirectly leading to sign the convention of evacuation
