Spatial Variation of the Situation of Retired Residents in Salah al-Din Governorate for the Year 2019

Abstract

The interest in the retirement seems imposed in its ranks in circumstances that seem imposed in certain circumstances, within the framework of economic development in Iraq after the retirement age was finally determined to (60) years instead of (63) years. In Salah al-Din Governorate, the retired people suffer from economic and health issues which make it necessary to know the number of the retired and their economic issues, health and their conditions in order to reach some cases that relieve the shoulders of this episode. The number of retired residents included in the pension salary in Salah al-Din Governorate for the year 2019 reached (30,152) retirees, and they represent (3.6%) of the total retirees in Iraq for the same year. Military retirees in Salah al-Din governorate accounted for (50.9%) while the retired population was civilians (49.1%) of the total. The variation in the monthly income of retirees in the study area, as the monthly income group of (500-750 thousand) ranked first with a percentage of (29.5%), while their monthly income (500 thousand or less) amounted to (18.8%) of their total. As for health problems, it was found that (18.4%) of retirees in the governorate suffer from several diseases, the most important of which is diabetes, which constituted (29.7%) of their total, which requires reviewing the salaries of retirees to achieve enough necessary health and food care for them.
