Abstract
Small and medium enterprises are of great importance in light of the continuous pressures and environmental challenges faced by the Iraqi society, for this basis it was necessary to work to support and develop this sector as one of the methods of promoting the Iraqi economy. The research aims to test the relationship between the business strategies and the effectiveness of small and medium enterprises. The problem of research is the impact of business strategies on the effectiveness of SMEs funded by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. The survey questionnaire was used as a data collection tool, 30 questionnaire forms were distributed, data were analyzed using the SPSS program, and a number of statistical methods were used to test hypotheses. The research found a number of conclusions, the most important of which was the relationship between business strategies and strategies (veiled, defending, analyzing, and responding) and the effectiveness of the SMEs in general. The research ended with a set of appropriate recommendations.
