Geographical Analysis of the Poor Population in Kirkuk Governorate for the Year 2017

Abstract

The study was represented by a geographical analysis of the size of the poor population in Kirkuk Governorate for the year 2017, where it was concerned with finding the absolute number of the poor, which depends on the number of the population. Population weight, which has become, there is a variation in the phenomenon of poverty at the level of administrative units. Therefore, the study showed that there is a difference between urban and rural, as in urban areas the proportion of the poor population reached (%44.2), while the percentage of the poor population in the countryside was (%55.8), as is the case when measuring poverty rates for each administrative unit, the study clarified, which was evident by dividing the number of poor population in each administrative unit by the total population of its population. Therefore, it showed that there are administrative units with few inhabitants, but they came In the first place in terms of the poverty rate, as for the governorate level, the study found that the poverty rate in the governorate reached (%11.8) for the year 2017.
