Internet and political participation of youth in Iraqi society

Abstract

Abstract:The aim of this research is to identify the political participation of youth and the role of theInternet in them. It also aims to overcome the obstacles facing the social and political participationof young people through the Internet, as well as to identify the future vision to strengthen the role ofthe Internet in guiding youth towards community service. The Internet plays many roles inelections, The political candidate in the previous elections, where his autobiography and partyaffiliation and his role in political work, and also shows its electoral programs to convince youngpeople to vote for them, and mobilize them in the conferences carried out by the candidate andpresented on the site of YouTube, What also contributed to the follow-up to these elections throughthe follow-up to these elections and denounce the shadows of the electoral process, and tradingresults indicators go. The study revealed a significant decrease in the participation of young peoplein the membership of political parties. About 70.3% of the sample members are not members of anypolitical party. This is due to the fact that a large number of businessmen are establishing new andold political parties, and a large number of parties with Islamic religious authority .
