Health risks of mobile phone towers in the city of AL-Amarah for the period(2012-2019)

Abstract

The vision of mobile phone towers has become a cause for concern and anxiety among the residents on the roofs of houses and residential plots of different shapes and heights near schools, hospitals and markets, causing visual and electromagnetic pollution due to their random distribution and increasing numbers, as well as the weak community awareness of their risks. Most of them have become without controls within cities, with studies confirming their relationship with brain cancers and leukemia in the laboratory, so the study aimed to distribute them geographically in the city of Amara using GIS and use it to determine locations near kindergartens, schools and hospitals, and their health effects through previous studies with contents commensurate with the study’s goal and problem and its hypothesis.
