Scientific Biography of Ibn Funduq Al-Bayhaqi (565 AH / 1169 AD)

Abstract

The study of intellectual figures is one of the most important historical studies, as it sheds light on certain eras and places in certain contents and topics according to their stature, fame and field of specialization, some of them are political, including religious, scientific, economic and other things, according to the field for which they are famous, and Ibn Funduq Al-Bayhaqi (died. 565 AH / 1169 AD) is one of the most Prominent scholars of the (6th century AH / nineteenth century AD), he is a successor of distinguished scientific family, both from the father’s side and the mother’s side, so we find early scientific brilliance with Ibn Funduq, as well as his encyclopedia of knowledge, as it is not limited to a specific science. His trips and travels among the cities of Persia, and in particular the province of Khorasan, had impacted the multiplicity of his sheikhs and the diversity of their specializations, and the diversity of his works.
