Intellectual extremism and its social effects from the perspective of the Holy Quran

Abstract

Attempting to monitor the roots of intellectual extremism and search for its causes is one of the most dangerous and worthy of study and scrutiny, because human society today faces the problems of civilization, its complexities, and the challenges of the age, as extremism did not come randomly and did not arise arbitrarily, but rather has its causes and motives, and knowing the cause helps in an accurate diagnosis. Which constitutes the beginning of an effective treatment. There is no treatment except after diagnosis, and there is no diagnosis except with knowledge of the influential causes. It is necessary to shed light on the causes and motives that led to the existence and spread of extremist thought. The emergence of this thought may have ideological, psychological, political, or social causes, or it may be Economic and educational motives. Man has put in place several legislations and established laws and established institutions and organizations in order to protect security and peace in human societies and to eliminate crimes of murder, terror and intimidation, but that did not work. Rather, these organizations and security institutions were dedicated to repressive and protective devices to terrorize the authority instead of extricating the individual and setting rules And sound educational foundations and nourishing it with sound thought and religious and social values, and the question posed is can Islam develop solutions to human extremism and achieve the desired goal of spreading security and peace and eliminating the hotbeds of extremism and extremism in society through the Quranic vision? This is what we are trying to answer through the Quranic vision and the honorable Sunnah. It is worth noting that although there are previous studies pointing in this direction, but I have presented here the views of the interpreters of Islamic schools of thought and their position on extremism and extremism, and I also used several sources of contemporary writers who researched in this field. If we look closely, we can say that the motives of terrorism and intellectual extremism are intertwined and intertwined, and that is why it is not possible to stop at one cause, as this phenomenon is complex and complex and its causes are intertwined and intertwined.
