Abstract
Abstract The Mesopotamian civilization produced for us many cultural fields that were the product of the ancient Mesopotamian man, which were found in the numerous of the archaeological hills scattered in most parts of Mesopotamia. And one of these civilized fields is the statues, which the inhabitants of Mesopotamia made for purely religious and worldly purposes, and whose sizes, material of manufacture, and purpose of their manufacture varied from one statue to another. In view of the importance of these statues and their role in the civilization of Mesopotamia, the researchers decided to address the topic (statues in the light of cuneiform texts ( The feat of this research is trying to shed light on the statues that the sculptor made in the civilization of Mesopotamia, shedding light on them from the writings in the cuneiform sources.
