The level of interest of Arabic language teachers in mastering the writing and reading skills of first graders in the primary stage

Abstract

The current research sought to identify the level of interest of Arabic language teachers in mastering the skills of writing and reading aloud among first graders in the primary stage. To achieve the goal of the research, the researchers adopted the descriptive analytical approach, so the research community consisted of teachers of the first grades in primary schools in the Holy Karbala Governorate, which numbered (365) teachers, and the research sample amounted to (36) teachers. The research tool was built, and it was a note card that consisted of (26) items for the purpose of measuring the level of interest of teachers, and the validity and reliability coefficient of the tool were set. After collecting the data, the researchers processed it statistically; For the purpose of achieving results, the results showed that teachers of Arabic language for the first grades in primary schools in the holy city of Karbala have an interest in their students’ mastery of the skills of writing and reading aloud. But on average, this is due to a number of reasons listed by the researchers, and accordingly, the researchers reached a set of recommendations and suggestions.
